Feelnets was recently asked to design a bespoke living net for a contemporary-style house. The brief? To create a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing reading area, integrated into a modern living space dominated by a large wall-mounted bookcase. The challenge of creating an original mezzanine net in a design space was met thanks to this rounded net shape in a corner.
A rounded shape made to measure
The special feature of this installation is the rounded shape of one of the hopper’s corners. This architectural detail called for a perfectly adapted solution. Thanks to our expertise in bespoke design, we were able to produce a net with a rounded edge, perfectly integrated into the space. This type of non-rectilinear shape requires precise cutting and rigorous assembly.
White knotless netting for a sleek look
To stay in harmony with the design ambience of the venue, the customers chose a knotless white net in 30x30mm mesh. This net offers a discreet, elegant finish. It blends in perfectly with the uncluttered decor, while bringing lightness and security to the whole.
Mountings on base plates and metal structures
The net was fastened using bridges anchored to a metal structure. This type of fastening ensures great strength and perfect tensioning of the net. It also guarantees the longevity of the installation, even in daily use.
A new relaxation area
The result is a warm, suspended space that now serves as a reading corner and resting area for the whole family. Placed a few meters above the ground, this net transforms a hopper into a real living space.
